Response from His excellency Micheal D. Higgins on the occasion of his 78th birthday. Micheal D. Higgins is the 9th President of Ireland and has been in office since 2011. This is his second term which is due to end in 2025 as the President of Ireland serves for 7 years with a maximum of two terms in office.
