Response from Michael D. Higgins, An Uachtarán na hÉireann (The President of Ireland) on the occasion for St. Patrick’s Day 2020. the reply is in the form of a card with a picture on the front of Pangur Bán a 9th century poem by an Irish Monk from Reichenau Abbey which was in Southern Germany. Inside the card is an English translation by Robin Flower of the original poem which was written in Irish. On the opposite side of the card wishing me a happy Saint Patrick’s Day and has the printed signatures of The President, his wife and mentions his family. On the reverse of the card is two quotes from speeches by The President in both Irish and English.
