Lady Pamela Hicks is the daughter of Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl of Mountbatten of Burma and Edwina Mountbatten, Countess of Mountbatten of Burma. Through her father she is the first cousin of The Duke of Edinburgh and a great great grandchild of Queen Victoria. Louis Mountbatten was the brother of Princess Alice , the Duke of Edinburgh’s mother.
