Anne, The Dowager Baroness Glenconner 93rd Birthday

Response from The Right Honourable The Dowager Lady Glenconner, LVO on the occasion of her 93rd Birthday.

Born Anne Veronica on 16th July 1932 in Kensington, London to The Hon Thomas and Lady Elizabeth Coke. He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Leicester on 21st August 1949.

She married The Honourable Colin Tennant heir of the 2nd Baron Glenconner on 21st April 1956 at St. Withburga’s Church in Holkham. The had 5 children, 3 sons and twin daughters.

Her husband sadly passed away on 27th August 2010 and was succeeded in The Barony by his grandson Cody Tennant, The 4th Baron Glenconner.

The Baorny of Glenconner, of The Glen in the County of Peebles was created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom by George V 1911 for Sir Edward Tennant, 2nd Baronet, of The Glen and St. Rollox.

The Earldom of Leicester of Holkham, co. Norfolk (Seventh Creation) was created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom by Victoria on 12th August 1937 for Thomas Coke. The subsidiary title of the Earldom is; Viscount Coke created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom by Victoria on 12th August 1937 for Thomas Coke.

The reply is in the form of a card which on the front has the the picture of Lady Glenconner by Hal Shinnie and is hand signed and on the reverse is a hand written message thanking me for my birthday wishes and is hand signed by The Dowager Baroness.
