Born Klaus-Georg Wilhelm Otto Friedrich Gerd von Amsberg on 6th September 1926 in Castle Dötzingen, near Hitzacker, Germany to Claus Felix and Gosta von Amsberg.
He married Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands on 10th March 1966 who became The Queen of the Netherlands 30th April 1980.
