Arthur Wellesley, The 9th Duke of Wellington’s 75th Birthday

Response from His Grace The 9th Duke of Wellington on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

Born Arthur Charles Valerian on the 19th of August 1945 at Princess Christian Nursing Home, Windsor, Berkshire to Valerian and Diana Wellesley, Marquess and Marchioness of Douro later The 8th Duke and Duchess of Wellington.

The Dukedom of Wellington created 3rd May 1814 for Arthur Wellesley, The 1st Marquess of Wellington in The Peerage of Great Britain by The Prince Regent on behalf of George III. The subsidiary titles of The Dukedom are; The Marquess of Wellington created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom in 1812 by The Prince Regent on behalf of George III, The Marquess of Douro created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom in 1814 by The Prince Regent on behalf of George III, The Earl of Mornington created in The Peerage of Ireland in 1760 by George III, The Earl of Wellington created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom in 1812 by The Prince Regent on behalf of George III, The Viscount Wellesley of Dangan Castle created in The Peerage of Ireland in 1760 by George III, The Viscount Wellington of Talavera and of Wellington created in The Peerage of The United Kingdom in 1807 by George III, Baron Mornington in The Peerage of Ireland in 1746 by George II and The Baron Douro of Wellesley in The Peerage of The United Kingdom in 1809 by George III.
