Born Edward Barry Greynville Gibson on 28th January 1933 to Vice-Admiral Edward and Rita Gibson, The 3rd Baron and Baroness Ashbourne. He married Yvonne Ham on 25th March 1967.
He ascended to The Barony of Ashbourne of Ashbourne in the County of Meath in The Peerage of The United Kingdom created 1886 by Victoria on 3rd September 1982.
He passed away on 6th October 2020 and is survived by his wife Yvonne, The Dowager Baroness Ashbourne and his three sons Edward, The 5th Baron, Hon William and Patrick Gibson and extended family.
