Response from Commander Peter Campbell on the passing of his wife lady Moyra Campbell.
Born Moyra Kathleen on 22nd July 1930 the only daughter and eldest child of Their Graces James and Kathleen Hamilton, The 4th Duke and Duchess of Abercorn.
In 1953 Lady Moyra was selected as one of six ladies of noble birth to be one of Her Majesty The Queen’s Maid of Honour (Train Bearer) at her Coronation.
In the 1960s she served as Lady-in-Waiting to Her Royal Highness Princess ALexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy.
She married on 12th November 1966 Commander Peter Campbell, LVO, RN, with whom she had two sons Michael and Rory.
Lady Moyra Campbell sadly passed away on 8th November 2020 aged 90.
