Passing of Lady Melissa Brooke

Response from Sir Francis Brooke, 4th Baronet and Mrs Emma Thompson on the passing of their mother The Lady Melissa Brooke.

Born Lady Melissa Eva Caroline Wyndham-Quin on 16th January 1935 to Richard and Nancy Wyndham-Quin, Viscount and Viscountess Adare, he succeeded as the 6th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl on 23rd October 1952. She was the eldest of three children and had a younger brother and sister; Caroline, The Dowager Marchioness of Waterford and Thady, The 7th and last Earl of Dunraven and Mount Earl. Lady Melissa married Major Sir George Brooke, 3rd Baronet Brooke, of Summerton, Co. Dublin. They had two children Sir Francis Brooke, 4th Baronet and Emma Thompson. Sir George passed away 27th December 1982.

Lady Melissa sadly passed away on 5th January 2021.
