Response from The Right Honourable The 15th Earl of Meath in reply to a letter I sent to the family about Killruddery House.
The Earldom of Meath created in The Peerage of Ireland in 1627 for The Brabazon Family. They had been raised to The Peerage of Ireland as Baron Ardee in 1616 and The 2nd Baron was created The Earl of Meath.
The Earldom of Meath created in The Peerage of Ireland in 1627 by Charles I. The subsidiary titles are Lord Brabazon, Baron Ardee in the County of Louth in The Peerage of Ireland in 1616 by James I (James VI of Scotland) and Baron Chaworth of Eaton Hall in the County of Hereford in The Peerage of The United Kingdom by William IV.
John Brabazon is The 15th Earl and is married to Xenia, The Countess of Meath and they have three children; Hon Corinna married Julian Holloway; Anthony, Lord Ardee married Fionnuala, Lady Ardee; and Hon Serena married Andrew Legge.
The Earls of Meath have called Killruddery House home for over 400 Years.
Killruddery House was recently the setting for Alfea School in the Netflix show Fate: The Winx Saga.
