Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill Wedding

Royal response from Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland and Christopher O’Neill on the occasion of their wedding.

The couple met in New York and were first seen in public in January 2011.

The couple engagement was announced on 25th October 2012.

They married at The Royal Palace Chapel in Stockholm, Sweden by Lars-Göran Lönnermark, Chief Court Chaplain of the Royal Court and Bishop Emeritus of Skara, and Michael Bjerkhagen, Vicar of the Royal Court.

Some guests include The King and Queen of Sweden, The Crown Princess of Sweden and Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle of Sweden and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden. Foreign Royals were also in attendance including The Earl and Countess of Wessex (representing The Queen), The Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark (representing The Queen), The Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg (representing The Grand Duke) and The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Norway (representing The King).

The reply is in the form of a card which on the front has The Joint Monogram of The Couple, inside is a message in Swedish and English and their printed signatures and opposite is a picture of Her Royal Highness and Christopher O’Neill on their wedding day with the date of their wedding underneath and on the reverse is the name of the photographer, Ewa-Marie Rundquest.
