Royal response from His Royal Highness The Grand Duke of Luxembourg on the passing of his aunt and godmother Her Royal Highness Princess Marie-Gabrielle of Luxembourg.
Born Marie-Gabrielle Aldegunde Wilhelmine Louise on 2nd August 1925 at Berg castle in Luxembourg to Their Royal Highnesses Charlotte, The Grand Duchess of Luxembourg and Felix, The Prince Consort of Luxembourg.
She married Count Knud Johan Ludvig of Holstein-Ledreborg civilly on 5th November 1951 and religiously on 6th November at Berg Castle.
The couple had 7 children;
- Countess Monica Charlotte Louise Maria born 29th July 1952, married in 2003 Henrik de Dompierre de Jonquieres.
- Countess Lydia Marie Adelaide born 22nd February 1955, married on 8th August 1980 Prince Erik of Bourbon-Parma.
- Countess Veronica Birgitte Marie born 19th January 1956, married on 18th August 1979 François de Pottere.
- Countess Silvia Charlotte Marie born 1st January 1958, married on 4th August 1979 John Munro of Foulis.
- Countess Camilla Josephine Marie 26th February 1959 – 4th July 2010, married on 11th January 1986 Baron Eric Bertouch-Lehn.
- Countess Tatiana Alix Marie born 25th April 1961, married on 14th August 1999 Mark von Riedemann and had issue.
- Countess Antonia Charlotte Marie Jeannette born 19th June 1962.
She sadly passed away on 9th February 2023 in Denmark.
