Response from Monseigneur Dominique-Marie David, The Archbishop of Monaco on his accession to the rank of Bishop and his appointment as The Archbishop of Monaco. He was appointed Archbishop of Monaco on 21st January 2020 to succeed Monseigneur Bernard Barsi who had been Archbishop of Monaco since 16th May 2000. His episcopal consecration took place on March 8th 2020 by Archbishop Bernard Barsi who was assisted by Archbishop Jean-Paul James of Bordeaux, formerly Bishop of Nantes, and Bishop Yves Le Saux of Le Mans.
