She was christened on 14th May 1940 in Holmens Kirke (the Naval Church). Her engagement to Count Henri de Laborde de Monpezat was announced on 4th October 1966.
The couple married on 10th June 1967 at Holmens Kirke in Copenhagen. They have two children.
