Born Franz Bonaventura Adalbert Maria Herzog von Bayern on 14th July 1933 in Munich to Their Royal Highnesses Albrecht and Maria, The Duke and Duchess of Bavaria. He was their first born son and third child of the couple.
He is the Head of The House of Wittelsbach and The Titilar King of Bavaria. He has been head of house since 8th July 1998. He is a Great Grandson of the last King of Bavaria.
Education
He gained his high school education after World War Two at the Benedictine Abbey of Ettal in Bavaria, Germany.
He studied business management at the University of Munich and later in Zurich.
